Mozart's 40th Symphony in G minor is one of his most famous works, with its mixture of passion, tragedy, lyricism and beauty, a unique cosmos of emotions. To match this, the renowned Swiss soprano Marysol Schalit has chosen Vitelia's aria from »La clemenza di Tito«, which masterfully musically depicts the psychological turmoil of this figure. In his »Nuits d'été«, Hector Berlioz vacillates between cheerful summer feelings, romantic love laments and amorous longing, creating one of the most important romantic masterpieces with this famous song cycle. Robert Brunnlechner's »Overture to a Comedy« emphasizes the cheerful side of this kaleidoscope of emotions.
