The artistic director of the Beethoven Philharmonie is the Viennese born conductor Thomas R\u00f6sner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Members of established Austrian orchestras play alongside international chamber musicians and highly talented young musicians, creating together a unique spirit, which distinguishes the Beethoven Philharmonie from many other orchestras. A strong collective energy and the joy in music- making carries the audience along with the performers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Viennese classics such as Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Franz Schubert form the focus of the orchestra. Representing Viennese tradition, the Beethoven Philharmonie plays also a broad repertoire from Romantic music to contemporary creations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Beethoven Philharmonie has its own subscription concert series in the Grand Casino of Baden, Austria \u2013 one of Beethoven\u2019s favorite towns, full of great cultural history and located in the very heart of Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The orchestra has performed with many well-known soloists such as Chen Reiss, Daniela Fally, Andreas Schager, Michael Schade, G\u00fcnther Groissb\u00f6ck, Vadim Repin, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Renaud and Gautier Capu\u00e7on, Benjamin Schmid, Till Fellner, Philippe Entremont, Manuel Blanco, Nicolas Bayderou, Alexander Gadjiev, Lidia Baich or Koon-Woo Paik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The orchestra has been\u00a0invited to play at renowned festivals and concert venues such as the\u00a0Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Cankarjev Dom\u00a0in Ljubljana, Europ\u00e4ische Wochen in\u00a0Passau \/ Germany, Bruckner International Festival in Linz, Klangbogen \u00a0Vienna, the Haydn Festival\u00a0in Eisenstadt, as well as in Paris, Budapest and on\u00a0tours in China, Switzerland, Spain or Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Beethoven Philharmonie has performed in a highly successful series of educational concerts \u201cKlassiX\u201d at the renowned Musikverein in Vienna. and was part of the festival \u201coperklosterneuburg\u201c at the Klosterneuburg Monastery for many years. The orchestra plays regularly opera productions in the baroque theater at the Imperial castle Sch\u00f6nbrunn in Vienna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recent and future projects include\u00a0invitations to Great Festival Hall Salzburg, to the Festival Haydn-Region in Austria, the Summer Festival Innsbruck and the Konzerthaus\u00a0Klagenfurt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first Austrian performance of the Symphony in E by Franz Schubert in the new version by Richard D\u00fcnser in 2023 has been broadcast by the Austrian Radio. In February 2024 the orchestra has played the world premiere of Hans Winterberg\u2019s 4th<\/sup> piano concerto in a cooperation with Boosey&Hawkes and the Exilarte Zentrum in Vienna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The CD \u00bbVoices\u00ab with works by Beethoven and Mozart for Odradek Records was internationally highly acclaimed. A recording with works by the Israeli composer Menachem Wiesenberg was released in 2023 and got a wide range of excellent reviews.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
